How do you get elected to the TSO?
Either contact the TSO President and let them know which position you’re interested in, or you may attend the last TSO meeting of the year in May and indicate your desire prior to the vote. Newly elected officers and board members assume their new roles upon adjournment of the May meeting. The time commitment for each position is a full year, beginning and ending in May. The transition process, training and handing off of materials takes place in June.

Once elected for a position on the TSO, you will serve for one school year, then you may choose whether to continue in your position for another year.

There is a Grad Night Coordinator position that serves on the TSO and attends monthly meetings. Contact gradnight@tuhstso.org to reach the coordinator and let them know you are interested in being on the committee.

Who can apply for TSO grants?

Any teacher, club or sport may apply for a grant during our bi-annual grant application cycle. Contact school administration if you are interested in applying for a grant.

How does the TSO decide which grants to fund?

The fall and spring grant cycles are overseen by the TSO Finance Chair. Applications are reviewed by the Principal, the TSO Finance Chair, and TSO Finance Committee. Grant approval is based on need, number of students impacted, amount of funds available and how recently grants were previously awarded to applicants.
